le cool gets all chip-shop chic this week's cover, styled by Iseult Sheehy and photographed by Cliona O'Flaherty. Shot on location at Fusco's Take Away on Meath Street.
Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Iseult Sheehy and I am a fashion stylist and musician with a sort of 'mixed media' outlook on life.
This cover is illustrating the work of Dublin-based designer Umit Kutluk who is an amazing rising talent. This piece, called The Bleeding Heart, brought to my mind the images of religious iconography that can still be found all over Dublin in corner shops, cafes, laundrettes, pubs and, in this case, chippers. Loitering in corners, looking slightly forlorn and foresaken...
Generally my ideas for shoots start with collage in a journal or on a board. Its my way of processing different influences into one strong idea. Then I get totally overexcited about the project and go about collecting willing collaborators, in this case wonderful photographer Cliona O'Flaherty.
To put together a collaged photoshoot for POP mag or an advertising campaign for Dries Van Noten. Mmmmm
The inimitable Bella A Go Go. An incredible performance artist with a beautiful mind chock full of ideas!
